Client: Ircon Soma Tollway Private Limited (ISTPL)

Overview: IRCON undertook the structural rehabilitation project for existing bridges spanning from KM 261+720 to KM 379+878 in the Dhule Pimple Gaon section of NH3 in Maharashtra. The project aimed to enhance the structural integrity of approximately 22 bridges along this stretch.

Scope:

  • Replacement of Stip Seal Expansion Joints
  • Filling of cracks using epoxy mortar and epoxy grouting
  • Replacement of drainage spouts
  • Replacement of elastomeric bearings

Approach:

  • Conducted thorough inspection to identify structural issues and requirements.
  • Developed a plan for rehabilitation focusing on targeted repairs and replacements.
  • Utilized specialized techniques including epoxy mortar application and grouting for crack filling.
  • Replaced aging components such as stip seal expansion joints and elastomeric bearings to improve bridge performance.
  • Ensured adherence to safety standards and quality control measures throughout the project duration.

Duration: November 2022 to June 2023

Outcome: Efficient completion of structural rehabilitation ensures improved durability and safety of bridges along the Dhule Pimple Gaon section of NH3 in Maharashtra.
