Overview: IRCON undertook the structural rehabilitation project for existing bridges spanning from KM 261+720 to KM 379+878 in the Dhule Pimple Gaon section of NH3 in Maharashtra. The project aimed to enhance the structural integrity of approximately 22 bridges along this stretch.
Scope:
- Replacement of Stip Seal Expansion Joints
- Filling of cracks using epoxy mortar and epoxy grouting
- Replacement of drainage spouts
- Replacement of elastomeric bearings
Approach:
- Conducted thorough inspection to identify structural issues and requirements.
- Developed a plan for rehabilitation focusing on targeted repairs and replacements.
- Utilized specialized techniques including epoxy mortar application and grouting for crack filling.
- Replaced aging components such as stip seal expansion joints and elastomeric bearings to improve bridge performance.
- Ensured adherence to safety standards and quality control measures throughout the project duration.
Duration: November 2022 to June 2023
